Seminar on Stochastic PDEs: Chunxi Jiao -- stochastic flow for harmonic maps
Struwe solutions are well-known in the study of harmonic map heat flow and related
equations. These globally existing weak solutions are smooth away from at most finitely
many singularities (for 2D-domains). We aim to explore their stochastic counterpart,
where time of occurrence and location of singularities need to be reformulated in a
stochastic setting. We first review the deterministic case, then outline key steps
towards the stochastic case, and finally discuss the regularity assumptions imposed on
the noise. This talk/series of talks is based on a joint work with Ben Goldys (USYD)
and Christof Melcher (RWTH Aachen University).
