Abstract: We will give an intro, from a programmer's point of view, to point counting
algorithms via p-adic cohomology. We describe common problems with the majority (or
perhaps all) of the existing implementations. Then, we will describe a new
implementation, found in the DeRham.jl library, meant to address some of these issues.
