Alternating Hecke algebras
The alternating Hecke algebras are fixed-point subalgebras of the Iwahori-Hecke algebra
of the symmetric groups, which include the group algebras of the alternating groups as a
special case. I will give an overview of the representation theory of these algebras,
including their character theory and a KLR grading on these algebras.
This is based on joint work my my students Leah Neaves and Clinton Boys.
