On the K-theory of the flag variety.
Friday 11th August, 12-1pm, Carslaw 275.
I shall discuss the structure of the
the (T-equivariant)
K theory of a (generalized) flag variety
and its relation to the affine Hecke
algebra. This relationship can be
exploited to derive a K theoretic analogue
of the classical Pieri-Chevalley formula
in the cohomology of the flag variety.
Amazingly, this geometry is modeled by
the combinatorics of the Littelmann path model.
