Capelli identities from various viewpoints.
Friday 7th April, 12-1pm, Carslaw 175.
The Capelli identities were found more than
a hundred years ago and played important roles in the
classical invariant theory. Even in recent years,
various generalizations of Capelli identities have been
discussed by several authors.
They have revealed some new aspects to look at again
the classical identities themselves.
Two typical viewpoints are from
the representation theoretic side
and from the formal computational side.
In my talk, I will review some of these generalizations
and approaches, and discuss the related problems.
