Closed characteristics on convex hypersurfaces in R⁶

In this talk, I shall give a survey on recent results on closed characteristics on convex compact hyper-surfaces in R²ⁿ. Specially recently, jointly with W. Wang and X. Hu, we have proved that there exist at least three geometrically distinct closed characteristics on every smooth convex compact hyper-surface in R⁶.
