Hello everybody, I’m sorry for the lateness of this. Firstly though, I want to thank everybody that came to Yinan’s talk last week, although it was actually a great talk so the people that didn’t show up really missed out. Oh well, maybe Yinan might be able to give another talk (on a different topic) next semester. Now on to this week. Unfortunately, our speaker for this week had to pull out at the last minute. Fortunately, my friend (and probably yours too!) Ivan Guo has saved the day by volunteering to give a talk on Circle Geometry (although there is a very small chance that the final topic might be different). As you can probably guess, I don’t have an abstract, but any of you who have ever looked at circle geometry or have been to an Ivan Guo talk before (and I know some of you have) will know that this is bound to be a very interesting talk, you shouldn’t miss it. Talk: Circle Geometry Speaker: Ivan Guo Location: Carslaw 451 Date/Time: Friday 30 May, 1-2pm Also, at the beginning I will be talking about what SUMS has planned for 2nd semester, and how you can be involved. Hope to see you there! Gareth
