Alex Weekes (Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics) Monday 20 February, 12-1pm, Place: Carslaw 375 Title: An introduction to Coulomb branches. This is a follow-up talk of the algebra seminar of 17 February, the following and final talk in the series will be on 22 February. Abstract: In follow-up talks I will delve more deeply into the construction of the algebras, as well as their representation theory. I will also discuss a particularly interesting cases of Coulomb branches, corresponding to "quiver gauge theories", where the Coulomb branch is a (generalized) slice in the affine Grassmannian of an algebraic group of ADE type.
