New SMRI LinkedIn account and latest news

The Sydney Mathematical Research Institute is now active on LinkedIn. It would be much appreciated if School members who use LinkedIn could follow our SMRI company page for updates, including news and events.

In other news, SMRI visitors Iva Halacheva (Northeastern University) and Marcy Robertson (University of Melbourne) have published a paper that sets out a topological characterisation of the Kashiwara–Vergne groups, along with their host Zsuzsanna Dancso. We have also published a video profile on applied mathematician Andrew Krause (Durham University), whose June 2023 visit was hosted by Peter Kim.

Finally, SMRI comms coordinator Larissa Fedunik reported on the "Panorama of Mathematics II" conference hosted by the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics in Bonn, October 2023.
