Informal Friday Seminar: Bellamy -- Symplectic singularities and their quantizations

Join us for the third and final installment of Gwyn Bellamy’s IFS mini-series on
symplectic representation theory.

Over the past decade it has become clear that many important algebras studied in
geometric representation theory fit into the (very!) general framework of quantizations
of symplectic singularities. This is commonly referred to as "symplectic representation
theory." The goal of these two talks is to give a very gentle introduction to this
symplectic representation theory point of view. The emphasis throughout will be on
examples, at least one of which should be very familiar to each member of the audience.

Notes for this talk can be found on the Informal Friday Seminar webpage:
