We discuss the proof that in suitable dimensions the branch of positive solutions
-Laplacian u = r exp u in D, u=0 on the boundary of D, has infinitely many bifurcation
points. Here D is a smooth bounded domain. We also discuss related equations. This
equation occurs in catalysis and combustion.
