As a typical problem in the study of 4-manifolds, many important modern techniques including Donaldson Theory and Seiberg-Witten Theory are used to solve it. --------------------------------------------------- This is a mini-three-lecture series, aiming at providing an overview of this topic at the introductory level. The content could be adjusted according to the audience. Honours and postgraduate students are very welcomed.
