Non-commutative Error correcting codes
Friday 7th, March 12:05-12:55pm,
Stephen Roberts.
Error-correcting codes have been always created from commutative
structures, like linear cyclic codes being ideals in a particular
quotient ring of a ring of polynomials over a finite field. In this
talk we want to introduce some new ideas in developing codes that
arise from non-commutative structures, like matrices or skew group
rings.
