Generic extensions and bases of quantum affine sl_n

In this talk we present a construction of bases of quantum affine sl_n, especially an elementary algebraic construction of the canonical basis. The main ingredients are the Ringel-Hall algebra of a cyclic quiver and generic extensions of nilpotent representations of the cyclic quiver. (This talk is based on joint work with Jie Du and Jie Xiao.)
